After School Program Group Teacher - Greene After School Program
Description:
An After School Program Group Teacher will be responsible for a specified group of children throughout the duration of the program. This person will ensure that the children are safe at all times and engaged in age appropriate activities, they will help children navigate social situations and help them to problem solve, be able to utilize age appropriate behavior management strategies, develop and implement crafts and other large and fine motor activities for the children, work well with other After School Program staff, and communicate effectively with the Site Supervisor and Youth Development Director.
Qualifications include:
- At least 18 years of age
- An Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field, or NYS Children’s Program Administer credential and one year experience working with children less than 13 years of age, or School Age Childcare Credential or other office recognized credential specific to school-age developmental period and Two years direct experience working with children under 13 years of age.
