Membership Information

Billing Information for Members who were active on March 16, 2020

If you paid your membership on March 16, 2020 and were a current member please read the following information:
  • Monthly bank/credit card draft payers: If you pay for your membership by monthly bank draft or credit card draft, and you made a successful draft payment on March 15th 2020, you have already paid for one month of membership that you weren’t able to use, because we closed on March 16th 2020.  To give you credit for that unused month, you will not be charged for your membership during September. Your next bank/credit card draft will occur on OCTOBER 15TH 2020, unless you notify us by October 8th that you wish to cancel.  If you wish to cancel your monthly bank/credit card draft, you must notify us before October 8th, using one of the following methods: calling the front desk at 607-336-9622, calling the Finance Director, Caroline Longo at (607)336-9622 ext. 1027, emailing our membership department at [email protected], or in writing.  Regardless of whether you cancel your future membership or not, if you made a successful draft payment on March 15th 2020, then your membership will remain active until October 15th 2020, with no membership payment required until October 15th.  
 
  • Annual, Quarterly, Tri-Annual, or Monthly Installment payers:  If you pay for your membership in one lump sum each year, or by installments (either quarterly, tri-annual or monthly), and your membership was active on March 16th, your membership will be reactivated effective September 8th 2020 (start of Phase 2), and your renewal date will automatically be extended for the number of days that we were closed during your membership.  
Example 1:
If your membership has not yet expired, so you are still an active member when we reopen on September 8th 2020, your membership will automatically be extended for the full length of time that we were closed, 176 days (March 16, 2020 through September 8th 2020).  No membership payment will be due until 176 days after your previous renewal date.  For example: if a member paid in full for an annual membership on October 1st 2019, their renewal date for this example would normally be October 1st 2020.  But we were closed for 176 days of that membership, so those unused days would be added to the length of this example’s membership, and the new renewal date in this example would be March 26th 2021. No membership payment would be due until the new renewal date.
Example 2:
If you were an active member on March 16th 2020 and your membership expired during the time that we were closed, then your membership will automatically be reactivated effective September 8th 2020 (start of Phase 2), and you will automatically be given membership for the number of days that we were closed during your membership.  For example, if a membership would have expired on April 1st 2020, we were closed for 16 days of this example membership (March 16th 2020 through April 1st 2020).  So in this example, the membership would be reactivated on September 8th 2020, and the new renewal date for the member in this example would be September 24th 2020 (16 days after the start of Phase 2). No membership payment would be due until the new renewal date.
