A Fun Evening is planned with our Outdoor All-Comers Track Meet on Thursday, June 28 at 6:00 p.m. at the Norwich High School Track.
It will be an evening of fun and competition for youth ages 5 to adult that would like to "try and or compete" in our All Comers Track Meet.
Sprints, middle distance, and jumps. You do not need to be affiliated with any Youth Track Team to participate.
We are offering this as a similar option to the end of year youth track meets at the school, or an option to challenge yourself personally. You may participate in as many as four different events for $5.00
Register at the Track on Thursday, June 28th. Come play with the Norwich Family YMCA Bolts Youth Track team with our All Comers Track Meet. If interested in joining the Bolts Youth Track Team contact Shannon Gawronski for more information.

BOILER UPDATE as of 7-23-18

We continue to operate the pool with pool temperatures now at 76.9 degrees.

The new Boilers have not arrived yet as they are making way through customs at the Canadian and New York border. The boilers are custom made for us and coming to us from Canada. The latest update that we have received from the contractors is that the boiler will be onsite the week of July 23.

The installer will be here on Monday, July 30th to begin the installation and plumbing. The installer has stated that he is planning on bringing his trailer and remaining in town until complete versus traveling home every day (very appreciative of his efforts once he begins).

This significant financial project has been slower than we expected but we are blessed with the soon to be outcome of five new boilers for building heat, pool heat, and domestic hot water heat all with backup features to assist us moving forward.

Thank you to our members and especially those that use the pool and those that need to utilize the pool for your patience during this time period. We know this has been an inconvenience to many and that is why we are thankful for your understanding as we complete this 200,000 project.

Once the boiler is installed, we have to get the Boiler Inspector onsite for a final inspection.

Please note:

  1. Unfortunately the Norwich High School is not available to assist us as they are currently in the midst of a construction project and their Swim Team will be practicing at our YMCA as we assist them in their time of need too.
  2. Kurt Beyer pool is open but still colder than our pool.
  3. AS YMCA MEMBERS YOU DO HAVE THE OPPPORTUNITY TO VISIT OUR NEIGHBORING Y’S IN ONEONTA, ONEIDA, CORTLAND, BINGHAMTON AND JOHNSON CITY TO SWIM IF YOU DESIRE.
