This year your Norwich Family YMCA will celebrate our 145th Anniversary serving residents of Chenango County. In continuing with our mission and our commitment to serving and helping others please join us in supporting the YMCA annual support campaign entitled “Reach Out to Your Community.” The YMCA initiated the “Reach Out to Your Community” campaign in 2005 to support the “Open Doors” scholarship program at the Norwich Family YMCA.
Since the campaign was established over $100,000 has been raised to support all members in need. At this time we are proud to report that every dollar raised has been utilized and all funds directly benefited families, children, teens, and seniors with YMCA memberships and program support. Our campaign began out of necessity, as more people than ever before need assistance to participate in YMCA programs and services. Community residents turn to the YMCA as a safe and supportive place to belong. During the last two years the “Reach Out to Your Community” campaign has directly benefited over 1,100 individuals.
The YMCA is a unique place where everyone is welcome and, through its diverse programs, each person is encouraged to grow in spirit, mind, and body. The “Reach Out to Your Community” campaign strives to make it possible for all people to experience the YMCA and the many life-changing opportunities it provides. Unfortunately the YMCA cannot do it alone – we need your help to meet the increasing level of need in our community. Please join us in our effort by participating in our 2007 Annual Support Campaign. Our goal is to raise money to sustain existing programs and memberships for all those in need. It is the YMCA MISSION to make our facilities and programs available to all, regardless of their ability to pay. The YMCA’s commitment to this mission is more evident today than ever before.
As a charitable organization, the YMCA relies on the generosity of volunteers and donors to ensure that we add value to the community. Through your involvement in this campaign you have the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life.
