Cycling and Spin,
Strengthen, Stretch |
| Simulated road rides on a racing style stationary bike. The instructor
will guide you through 45 minutes to one hour of rolling
hills, racing flats, and a variety of challenging riding
positions. This class is great for anyone interested in a
superior cardiovascular workout, with little to no stress
on the joints. (Beginners may want to purchase gel seats
to make their ride more comfortable while they’re
adjusting to the bikes). The instructor will also offer
stretching and some ab work to conclude the class. |
|
Power-Toning,
Strength Training and Start Strong |
| Classes are an hour of resistance work with dumbbells,
barbells, stretchy bands, body bars and medicine balls,
etc. to increase muscle endurance and strength. The
instructor will target every major muscle group in the
upper and lower body in order to help members attain
greater muscle tone, as well as increased overall strength
and new definition. The strength classes are particularly
important for women who do not do resistance training
outside of the group exercise room |
|
W.O.W. Women on Weights |
| This is a
fantastic class designed to teach women the concepts and principles
of resistance/weight training. The instructor will
challenge women in the class to become stronger and fitter
using a variety of strengthening techniques. The benefits
of this class will become very clear to you! |
|
Step-Up |
| This
step class uses a bench with adjustable heights corresponding to
the individual’s height and
fitness level. This is a good cardiovascular workout
using moderately choreographed routines. Step-Up is
an excellent start for beginners or those just coming back
to regular exercise. The instructor will also offer the more
experienced modifications to create a more strenuous
workout. |
|
Cardio-Knockout |
| This
heart-thumping routine is for anyone looking for a serious challenge.
Cardio-Knockout uses a variety of modified boxing and martial arts
techniques that are specifically developed for fitness.
This is not a self-defense class! However, after attending
the class you will feel ready to take on the world! |
|
Butts and Guts |
| Using
the same philosophy as H.A.T. this class focuses solely on the
abs and glutes for nearly 45 minutes. Enjoy getting the defined
abs and toned glutes you’ve always wanted with this fun and
focused class |
|
Line Dancing/Line
Dancing for Seniors |
| A fun
way to dance and exercise. Enjoy moving to the music.
No partner is required! |
|

the ages of 12 and 14 years. All youth will receive three

guardian’s permission are required. The Fitness Center

|
Cardio-Combo |
| This
creative class offers a great cardio
workout by utilizing a variety of cardio techniques,
including step, kick-boxing, low impact and interval
training. |
|
Old School
Step |
| A traditional step
class. The
instructor will provide a fun, choreographed, 45 minutes
of solid cardio workout including a warm-up, a cool-down
and stretching. This is great for the lunch hour members
who always loved step class |
|
Cardio-Surprise |
| A
fun and efficient 30-minute workout incorporating dance and different types of
music to make you move! |
|

| This
class is co-taught and is comprised of 20 minutes on the bike, 20 minutes of
aerobic interval training, and also incorporates a significant
amount of strength work. |
|
Toning Blast |
| Hard-core
toning utilizing all equipment (weights, exercise balls, bands, etc.) and taking
participants to muscle fatigue. This is a more advanced class and
not a starting point for the beginner or the deconditioned |
|
Boot Camp |
| A more advanced
fitness class for those who want to get in the shape of their lives! As the name
implies, this class uses many cardio and strength drills to
make you the best that you can be! The great variety of
drills makes the class not only a challenge but lots of fun! |
|
Yoga |
| A course of related exercises
and postures intended to promote control of the body and mind and to attain
physical and spiritual well-being. The class is excellent
for enhancing flexibility, balance and concentration,
while using breathing techniques to aid in relaxation
and de-stressing. |
|
Pilates |
| As with yoga, the
human body itself is used as“weights” in
training to build strength, with a focus on
flexibility. This is not high-powered cardiovascular
exercise. Developing core strength using the abdominal
and lower back muscles are a central principle. Both yoga
and pilates are safe and effective for the beginner or the
more advanced, and they are particularly focused on
correct postural alignment without stressing the joints. |
|
Yogaball |
| This
class combines stretching and strengthening using a stability ball.
Yogaball also incorporates some yoga postures and relaxation. |
|
H.A.T. |
| A 30-minute
workout targeting your hips, abs, and thighs. The variety of exercises
makes it fun to focus on those difficult areas, and with consistent
effort, to redefine them. |
